mAY PRAYER GUIDE

Join us in praying for our church and our mission partners this month! We encourage all our Community Groups and Discipleship Groups to set some extra time aside at one meeting this month to pray.

Pray for our church:

  • Pray through a portion of our church covenant
    • Ask that God would enable us to embody this portion of our church covenant: We will support the testimony of our church by living godly lives, by loving our neighbors and by developing Christ-centered homes.
  • Pray for our leaders
    • For one of our staff members - Willie Padgett (Pastor for Corporate Worship)
    • For one of our lay elders - Michael Harward
    • For one of our deacons - Donna Kay Brown (Hospitality)
  • Pray for The Jeremiah 29 Campaign
    • Praise God for the closing on 10505 Jones Bridge Road in early March.
    • Praise God for the $500,000 match for gifts given outside of CFC and pray that He would raise up those givers to complete the match.
    • Ask that God would give us favor with the city of Johns Creek for the special use permit of the property.
  • Pray that we would invest well in the next generation through our Kids and Student Ministries

Pray for our mission partners:

North American Mission Board

Myanmar experienced a 7.7-magnitude earthquake, the most powerful to hit the country since 1946. The effects were felt across Southeast Asia. More than 2,700 people have died, with many more casualties feared and thousands more injured or trapped. Thousands of homes have been damaged or destroyed. Send Relief is providing essential supplies, including food, rice, clean drinking water, and flashlights, to thousands of survivors. Their trained partners are ministering to people who’ve lost their homes and are in need of emergency shelter, blankets and clothing. Please continue to pray for these people.

King's Hill Church

KHC will be praying for over 20 summer collegiate interns that have signed up to serve with them this summer.  Please pray for these interns to continue to grow in their faith as well as share the good news of the Gospel to Bostonians.

International Mission Board

After Armenian Baptists hosted a Serve Tour of mostly 50 medical volunteers from the United States and Greece, they reported their work advanced at a faster rate less than a year after the joint mission trip through Send Relief and IMB global health strategies. Volunteers staffing a free clinic might spend 15 minutes with someone before passing them to the next medical station. Patients are assured of excellent medical care despite the desire to fit in as many people as possible. Volunteer doctors often perform exams and procedures that people can’t afford to have done. That long-term relationships these medical volunteers built set the foundation for allowing these Armenian believers to lead their own church plants.

IMB MISSIONARIES "DANIEL" AND "RACHEL"

We're excited that Christina Hipsley has agreed to step up as the team leader this year on the North Africa mission trip this October.  She went on the trip last year and, in addition to being a night person like most Egyptians, she brought a spirit of peace and prayer which was a huge benefit to the team. Please pray for her to lead the team for God's glory.

Mully Children's Family

The Kenyan education system has experienced significant changes in recent years, requiring teachers to adapt to a new curriculum. MCF has continually invested in professional development to ensure our educators are equipped to provide quality education to every child. Please pray for their teachers across all MCF campuses. May they find wisdom, encouragement, and strength as they embrace these changes and guide the next generation.  Additionally, pray for God’s provision of skilled trainers to help strengthen and empower our educators in their mission.

Promise 686

The Promise Race was a success and raised over $240,000 for children in foster care! CFC had around 45 people in attendance.

Please also pray for the cycle of foster care would always end with every child being placed in a loving home.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Please continue to pray for our Wycliffe project, the Older Trees Cluster, as translators continue to translate God’s Word for South Asia.

North Fulton Community Charities

North Fulton Community Charities provides food assistance to individuals and families in need in the North Fulton community. The Food Pantry serves more than 125 households each day, offering non-perishable foods and fresh fruit, vegetables and meats as well as toiletries, diapers and other household necessities. By using the food pantry, families struggling to make ends meet can significantly reduce their food expenses, freeing up money to use toward housing, utilities, gas and other bills. The NFCC Food Pantry relies on food and household supply donations from individuals, businesses, faith and civic organizations, schools and others. Please continue to pray for the families in need of NFCC's services.

A Beacon of Hope

We will be collecting diaper and wipes the month of May. Please pray for the moms that will be receiving these items and that they will see the love of God.

CAMP LIGHTHOUSE

Please pray for the last 31 students that need sponsorships to attend Camp Lighthouse this summer. These sponsorships provide a free camp experience for one child from one of our incredible Camper Agency Partners to attend camp for a week which includes all of the camper's food, supply, lodging, and staffing needs. Please provide the funds needed for these students to hear the Gospel this summer.
